Located in Santa Monica, our canine social club is a haven for dogs and their owners alike, offering a range of amenities, experiential events, and spacious play areas. We are seeking an adaptable leader who is organized, an effective communicator, problem solver, who prioritizes member’s experiences, and the success of their department and the company.

Position: 

Full-Time Concierge Manager Position

 

Location: 

Santa Monica, CA - DOG PPL

Compensation: ~$27 p/h

Responsibilities:

As a Membership Concierge Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized system and overseeing the staff in your department, the interview and onboarding process of new employees, and communicating effectively with your staff and management peers. Key responsibilities include:

Effective Communication

Excellent at relaying new information to their department and upper management, time management, and conducting interviews and meetings. The innate ability to create a safe and healthy environment for staff to voice their opinions and receive constructive feedback.

 

Leadership

Ability to lead by example and inspire your team to make sure everyone is performing at the best of their ability, and staying up to date on all company policies and enforcing them when necessary. Also, as manager on duty, holding everyone accountable for their responsibilities during a shift. 

 

Conflict Resolution

Capability to address all conflicts in a composed and professional manner while utilizing important skills such as active listening and problem solving. In the case of disciplinary actions, remaining objective and receptive while gathering all information. 

 

Team Management

Skills in hiring and training new employees, conducting employee reviews, performance plans, managing schedules, and coordinating tasks to ensure smooth operations in your department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Comfortability with all types of dogs in an off-leash environment
     

  • Passion for dogs and a deep understanding of the needs and interests of dog owners.
     

  • Proven experience in management, customer service, and in the hospitality industry.
     

  • Excellent project management skills: planning, organizing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time.
     

  • Natural leadership skills, such as delegating tasks, and conducting reviews.
     

  • Multitasking and organizational skills.
     

  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
     

  • Must have a positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible and patient.
     

  • Overall, it’s vital to have an “A Player” mentality that brings the go-getter attitude every day.
     

  • High level of EQ (Emotional Intelligence) as customer moods can vary and you should always lead by example and be comfortable navigating those moments with tact and decorum.
     

  • Experience with POS retail software
