As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring our club upholds the gold standard in pet-inclusive hospitality. Often referred to as the Soho House for dog owners in LA, we take pride in delivering an experience that earns such recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a seamless and high-quality atmosphere across all facets of the club, including food and beverage service, events, and a small retail component. With a hospitality-first mindset, the GM will lead the team in delivering exceptional experiences while upholding the highest standards of service, ambiance, and operational efficiency. A commitment to membership care standards will be essential, ensuring the club consistently meets and exceeds service excellence benchmarks. This role demands a deep understanding of premium hospitality, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for fostering a refined yet welcoming community-driven environment.

    • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing hospitality and operations team. Ensure alignment with company values, service expectations, and brand identity. Support from HQ will be available as needed.

    • Develop, implement, and manage the club’s annual budget in collaboration with senior leadership, ensuring financial alignment with business goals. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate financial performance, optimize revenue streams, and control costs to drive sustainable profitability. Monitor and assess critical financial metrics, including labor costs, food and beverage margins, membership retention, and overall operational efficiency, making data-driven adjustments as needed in conjunction with leadership.

    • Maintain a strong connection with founding and high-involvement members, as their insights are essential to shaping the club’s direction. Implement high-touch service strategies that prioritize guest satisfaction to enhance the overall member experience.

    • In partnership with Senior Leadership at the HQ level, GM will lead initiatives to grow club membership, enhance retention, and increase overall revenue through innovative programming, events, and pre-approved strategic partnerships.

    • Work closely with the bar team to maintain a premium, dog-friendly food and drink program that aligns with our brand’s premium standards. Help to ensure a rotating food concept is operating to its fullest potential and elevates our members' expectations of quality and service.

    • Oversee the execution of curated events, activations, and paid partnerships that align with the club’s brand and member expectations. Ensure smooth coordination between the programming, operations, and membership teams.

    • Ensure all club and hospitality areas uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, health, safety, and operational compliance. Maintain full compliance with health and safety regulations, liquor licensing, and all relevant regulatory agencies, including:

      • New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH)

      • New York State Liquor Authority (NYSLA)

      • New York City Department of Buildings (DOB)

      • New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY)

      • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

      • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

      • New York City Commission on Human Rights (CCHR)

      • Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

    • This role requires proactive oversight to ensure the club meets and exceeds all operational, legal, and safety standards, fostering a well-regulated and high-quality member experience.

    • In tandem with our HQ Partnerships lead, you will help to establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and brand partners to enhance member offerings and streamline club operations.

What We’re
Looking For

Hospitality & Club Management Experience:

5-8 years in a hospitality leadership role, preferably in a private members club, resort, boutique high-end hotel or elevated food & beverage setting.

Financial & Business Acumen:

Strong financial and business acumen with demonstrated experience in P&L management, budgeting, and revenue optimization.

Food & Beverage Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of restaurant and bar operations, including adherence to liquor licensing requirements and health and safety regulations. Familiarity with oversight from agencies such as the DOH, DOB, OSHA, and other relevant regulatory bodies is strongly preferred.

Passion for DOGS & People:

Strong appreciation for dog-friendly environments and a commitment to creating a premium social space for members and their dogs.

Leadership & Team Development:

Proven ability to build and mentor a team in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment while fostering a healthy culture.

Events & Community Building:

A strong understanding of events, execution, and member engagement strategies.

Flexibility & Problem-Solving:

Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and ensure smooth operations at all times.

On-Site Presence:

This position is a full-time on-site role.
